Buyers of BMW 1 series models in the UK can now order a rear view camera. Activated when reverse gear is selected, the wide-angle lens camera is mounted in the rear bumper giving a clear view of the area behind the car.
On cars specified with iDrive, images are displayed in the on-board monitor and those without iDrive get a separate monitor in place of a central air vent. Pricing for models with iDrive is £339 (excluding fitment) and, without, £638.
