ADS-TEC Energy has forged a strategic partnership with Paragon Mobility to deploy ultra-fast, battery-buffered electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across France.
This initiative comes in response to a significant increase in EV registrations, with over 206,000 new vehicles recorded since the start of 2024.
Based in the technology park of Sophia Antipolis, Paragon Mobility has been developing its line of modular containerised fast charging solutions, referred to as Pods, since 2021.
The expansion will incorporate ADS-TEC Energy’s ChargePost chargers, capable of delivering up to 300kW of power, even in areas with weak grid connections.
This technology allows for the simultaneous charging of two vehicles and offers the potential for additional revenue through digital advertising on two large 75-inch LED displays.
Each unit includes a 201kWh battery storage system, allowing it to not only charge vehicles but also feed energy back into the grid, thereby enhancing grid stability.
