Hyundai, Kia and Ssangyong were all hit by strike action on Friday, as unions staged four-hour stoppages to protest against proposed legislation that would allow companies to hire more temporary workers, according to Reuters.

Similar action was taken last Friday at GM Daewoo Automotive and Technology, but it was not affected by today’s action. Renault Samsung does not have a union and was similarly unaffected.


Today’s stoppages affected the production of around 2,555 vehicles.
