Automobile output in Russia rose 6.7% year on year to 194,854 vehicles in January-February, Avtoselkhozmash Holding, or ASM Holding, told Prime-Tass on Thursday.

Of the total, car output in Russia rose 3.6% on the year to 154,396 cars, while truck output increased 22.2% to 29,896 trucks, the company said.
In January-February, 1,294 foreign-branded trucks were assembled in Russia, up from 57 trucks in the same period of 2005, and 27,550 foreign-branded cars were assembled in Russia, up from 18,952 cars in January-February 2005, the company said.
