The company also exported 5,157 units, taking total sales to 69,415 units last month.
Volume in the Indian A2 segment (Suzuki’s Alto, Wagon-R, Sen and Swift) rose 20.9% to 47,077 units while A3 volume (Esteem, SX4, Baleno) was up 54.7% to 4,177 units, boosted by the SX4 SUV launched last May.
Sales in the A1 segment (the 1980s Alto-based M800) fell 29.56% to 4,477 units).
