Bosch has set itself a goal of drastically reducing CO2 emissions from all its sites.


By 2020 it wants to reduce CO2 emissions by at least 20%, compared to 2007 levels.The company is aiming to do this by improving the energy efficiency of all its 292 production locations worldwide.


Low carbon technologies are becoming increasingly important to Bosch’s business plan. It now produces solar panels, heat pumps and wind turbines, as well as energy efficiency products such as heat recovery systems.


Bosch believes that future resource shortages and the demands of environmental protection are opening up profitable growth opportunities for the company.In the last year Bosch has made a billion euros from renewable energy products.


Bosch plans to introduce a variety of measures at its plants, including heat recovery systems, improved heat insulation, as well as low energy lighting systems. Bosch is aiming to reduce its electricity use by 30%.
