Denso’s subsidiary in north eastern Japan is to expand an automotive air conditioner plant to support increasing vehicle production by Toyota.
Denso Higashinihon is to spend JPY8.7bn (US$88.4m) to manufacture engine cooling modules from May 2014 at its plant in Tamura, Fukushima Prefecture.
The company plans to double the number of workers at the plant to around 220 by fiscal 2016, it said.
