Alliance partners Renault and Nissan are to open their training facilities around the world to each other to improve skills and improve the cost effectiveness of training provision.
Nissan Executive Vice President Shohei Kimura has revealed the plans in Tokyo this week. The move on training is new and takes the two automakers a step further in their Alliance partnership, beyond joint development and production collaborations.

Nikkei reported that Nissan operates a core facility for teaching skills at a factory in Yokosuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, and also has 23 locally tailored training centres across the globe. Renault has around 20 similar facilities, the report said.
