PSA Peugeot Citroen would be happy to discuss alliance and mergers with other carmakers but only after it has completed its recovery plan, chief operating officer Carlos Tavares has told the Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.
There has been talk in the past of tie ups with Fiat and Volkswagen while a previous alliance with General Motors proved unsuccessful. Tavares told the newspaper that Fiat Chysler boss Sergio Marchionne is “welcome every time he wants to speak to us but for us it’s a little bit early now. We need to finish our cure and recover our good health.”
