Ricardo says it has been asked to provide an “objective and unbiased” assessment of a new Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) under development by Chinese automaker, JAC.
The UK supplier will produce an engineering assessment of JAC’s prototype DTR630 OTS transmission.

In particular, the performance of the unit will be evaluated against international competitor products in terms of noise vibration harshness (NVH), efficiency and shift quality.
“We are confident Ricardo can use its experience, specialised knowledge and expertise to deliver this project on time and with high quality,” said JAC Technical Centre deputy director, Zhang Zuoyang.
“We hope too this project is the start point of further successful collaboration between JAC and Ricardo.”
