Volkswagen-owned Bentley has launched a new excellence centre for quality & launch facility at its headquarters in Crewe, the UK, in preparation for the launch of its first all-electric vehicle.
The facility marks a significant step in the brand’s shift towards electrification as part of its ‘Bentley’s Beyond100+’ strategy, which aims to transform its product lineup to embrace an electrified future.
Spanning two floors and covering 8,000m2, the new digital, environmentally neutral manufacturing and quality facility features a production proving ground, and a mini assembly line for BEV assembly testing.
This centre also comprises technical centre for testing of future materials, high precision dimensional measurement, vehicle analysis and reliability.
Bentley Manufacturing board member Andreas Lehe said: “The Excellence Centre for Quality & Launch is a key building block for the successful delivery of the Beyond100+ strategy.
“The facility represents a significant step forward in transforming our historic Crewe site into a world-leading hub for sustainable luxury automotive production.

The new facility has transformed the 85-year old site to advance the company’s electrification strategy.

Bentley, Volkswagen’s luxury arm, plans to offer plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) until 2035. This shift extends the original target of achieving a fully electric lineup by 2030.
In November 2024, the company unveiled its plan to introduce the new plug-in hybrid or fully electric model every year.
