BYD has expanded its European footprint by entering the Serbian market, introducing a range of pure-electric and DM-i plug-in hybrid models.
BYD’s expansion to the Serbian market is facilitated through a partnership with TDV Automotive, aligning with the company’s strategy of collaborating with leading network groups across Europe.
The company’s first retail outlet is set up at Bulevar Milutina Milankovića in Belgrade, with plans for three more sales and service centres by the end of 2025.
The initial product rollout in Serbia features a diverse lineup, starting with the compact ATTO 2 SUV.
BYD is also offering the larger ATTO 3 SUV.
Further enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) options, BYD has introduced the all-electric SEAL sedan and the high-performance SEALION 7 SUV.

It also features what BYDD says is the world’s fastest electric motor in mass production, reaching 23,000rpm.
For those in need of extended range, the SEAL U DM-i family SUV is also making its debut.
This model integrates BYD’s Super DM hybrid system, combining the benefits of electric driving with the flexibility of a petrol engine, achieving over 1,000km on a full charge and tank.
Additional models, including the DOLPHIN hatchback, are set to join the Serbian market soon.
BYD executive vice-president Stella Li said: “We’re very excited to be opening our network in Serbia, starting in Belgrade. At BYD, our mission is to make our sustainable technologies as accessible to as many consumers as possible, so every new market in Europe is extremely important to us.
“We’re delighted, too, to be launching with such a wide range of vehicles – all of which deliver the appealing mix of quality, efficiency and technology that we are known for. We’re looking forward to growing our presence here throughout 2025 and beyond.”
Recently, BYD launched new “super e-platform”, which it claims can deliver peak charging speeds of up to 1 megawatt (MW).
