Calsonic Kansei has appointed Andy Koehler as Japan-based Chief Procurement Officer and who will report to CEO, Beda Bolzenius.
Working with Tsukasa Fujii, who continues in his role as Calsonic Kansei’s Chief Competitive Officer (CCO), Koehler’s role will develop the company’s cost efficiency and speed in taking products to market.
“Mr. Koehler has an extremely strong track record in defining and implementing innovative purchasing and supply chain management strategies, which lead to tangible results,” said Bolzenius.
“With his breadth of experience working in the automotive supply, sports and consumer goods industries, we believe Mr. Koehler’s knowledge will help Calsonic Kansei solidify its position as a competitive, global leader.”
Koehler joins Calsonic Kansei from his position as founder and CEO of start-up, Art Carbon International. Prior to this he was COO at Puma after moving from Adidas where he served as head of Global Sourcing in Hong Kong.
Koehler started his career in the automotive supply industry, spending two decades at companies including Eaton and Siebe Fluid Systems as managing director, TRW as director of Strategic Sourcing and Johnson Controls International as VP Purchasing for Europe, Africa and South America.
