PSA Peugeot Citroen launched its updated C4 line for China at the Shanghai International Motor Show this week.
The revised car was shown in hatchback form, as launched in Europe late last year, while the four-door sedan made its world debut. Citroen also showed the C5 which will be built in China later this year.
The sedan and hatchback will be badged C-Quatre for China and but have the same changes to the front and interior introduced in Europe last year. The C-Quatre sedan is substantially changed at the rear from the C-Triomphe, the sedan version of the previous C4 model, with new rear guards, lights, boot and bumper.
Wuhan-built C5 goes on sale in China in early 2010, enabling Citroen to cover 70% of the Chinese market, the automaker said.
The Shanghai show also hosted the debut of the new Citroen corporate identity, which will roll out across 217 Chinese dealers in 230 cities this year.
