Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive said its direct car sales in September rose 25.1% year on year to 93,648 units.

The company said on its website its direct sales for the nine months ended 30 September 30 totaled 707,682 units, up 34.9% year on year. Shanghai Volkswagen is a 50-50 joint venture between SAIC Group and Volkswagen AG.
