Ex-Daimler finance and truck specialist Frank Weber (50) has been named CFO of transport and rail components supplier Knorr-Bremse from 1 August, 2020.
He held various roles at Mercedes Benz and parent Daimler and was also CFO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Buses in Tokyo, Japan and Daimler Trucks Asia.
At Daimler he headed projects such as digitalisation, corporate development and cost efficiency.
Klaus Mangold, chairman of the Knorr-Bremse supervisory board, said: With his excellent experience in strategy, capital market communications, controlling and M&A, he will contribute to the future growth of Knorr-Bremse group."
Bernd Eulitz, chairman of the executive board, will temporarily manage the company's finance division during a transition period following the departure of Ralph Heuwing on 30 April, 2020.
Knorr-Bremse specialises in braking and other commercial vehicle systems.
