Tata Africa and Tata Motors have unveiled their range of passenger cars, utility vehicles, pick-ups, trucks and buses for the South African market. Tata Motors has signed a joint venture with the Imperial Group for the distribution and marketing of the pick-ups in the country.

Tata Motors has been trying to enter new markets with its vehicle range and the lucrative South African market is the new market that the company plans to explore. Another Indian utilitry vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is already retailing its vehicles in the country.

The pick-ups, light trucks and buses will be available for sale in South Africa immediately, while the passenger cars will be launched in the coming months. The company claims that its vehicles are acclimatised to performing in diverse weather and road conditions.
