Renault recalled its Scenic II car for checks on the backseat safety belts, a spokesman told Reuters on Monday.

Some 888,000 Scenic II models are covered by the recall, including 327,000 in France.
“For security reasons, we are recalling the entire Scenic II range built until December 2005,” the spokesman reportedly said.
No accidents have been reported that are related to the safety belt, Reuters noted.
