“TVS Logistics will be responsible for managing the end-to-end warehousing solutions in parts distribution centre for Hindustan Motors at its Tiruvallur plant near Chennai,” TVS Logistics said in a statement cited by The Times of India.

TVS will control the full supply chain for maximum flexibility and ‘real time visibility of inventory’, the statement said.
The supplier will distribute Hindustan Motors parts plus those for Mitsubishi models HM assembles and distributes under contract – the Lancer, Lancer Evolution, Cedia, Montero, Pajero and Outlander.
Outsourcing warehousing would allow HM to focus on service quality, product management and reduced order lead time, the statement added.
