Hyundai India will launch an LPG version of its new Eon before mid 2012.
As the cost of petrol rises in India, demand for dual fuel cars is rising.
The company has started testing the LPG variant on the outskirts of Chennai where it is based.
The LPG models will be dual fuel, able to run on petrol or LPG. The LPG option will cost INR20,000 (US$394).
