Paris has started its electric commercial vehicle car sharing service for professionals, ‘VULe Partagés,’ with PSA Groupe equipping 80% of the fleet put into service.

Out of ten vehicles available, four Peugeot Partner and four Citroën Berlingo models are available, with this type of vehicle suited to professional use, having three seats in the front and 80% charging within 30 minutes.

The service has been launched on an experimental basis in the second and third arrondissements (districts) of Paris. 

The experimental phase is being carried out as part of the Ile-de-France Region’s call for projects on ‘Innovation to promote Sustainable Mobility.’ To use the service, traders in Paris can register on-line, through: www.vulepartages.fr.

PSA Groupe has five commercial electric vehicles: Peugeot i0n and Partner, Citroën E-Mehari, C-Zero and Berlingo.

From 2019, four new electric vehicles will be available.

Data from just-auto’s QUBE service shows PSA generated revenues of EUR54.676bn in 2015, after adjustments for Faurecia and the company’s JVs in China; this revenue came from vehicle sales of 2.973m vehicles sold (up 1.2%). PSA has manufacturing facilities in six countries and has over 18,000 sales outlets.

Evidencing the company’s success in turning its fortunes around under the Back In The Race strategy, in 2015 PSA reported net profit of slightly more than EUR1.2bn, compared to a net loss in 2014 of EUR555m.
