Parkopedia has announced, at the Paris show, a global partnership to provide TomTom with premium parking content for its automotive customers.
Parkopedia CEO Eugene Tsyrklevich said: "We have been working on parking matters with TomTom for a while now and are particularly happy to see our joint efforts come to light in this new market leading solutions for drivers and the automotive industry."
Parkopedia claims to be the world's leading parking service provider used by millions of drivers and organisations such as Apple, BMW, Coyote, Ford, Garmin, GM, Jaguar, Land Rover, Peugeot, Sygic, TomTom, Toyota and Volvo.
The service allows drivers to find the closest parking to their destination, tells them how much it will cost and whether the space is available. Parkopedia also allows drivers to pay for parking online, through a mobile app and in-car.
Founded in 1991, TomTom supplies navigation and mapping products and operates via its four customer-facing business units: Consumer, Automotive, Licensing and Telematics.
