South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission (FTC) has begun an investigation into alleged price fixing among the country’s top five automakers, according to local reports.

The anti-trust regulator is reported to be investigating the pricing activities of Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, GM Korea, Renault Samsung and Ssangyong Motor.

The FTC has also been scrutinising the pricing activities of foreign brands in the country, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, Toyota and Lexus.
