Tata Elxsi has partnered with Minespider, a provider of blockchain-powered traceability solutions, to introduce MOBIUS+, a platform focused on advanced battery lifecycle management.
The platform is developed to address the increasing demand for sustainability, compliance, and performance optimisation across the battery industry, from production to recycling, Tata Elxsi said in a statement.
The platform merges advanced data analytics, real-time monitoring, and compliance features to provide actionable insights for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the wider battery ecosystem.
These capabilities aim to enhance battery performance tracking, maintenance, and sustainability management.
MOBIUS+ will be globally launched at the Bharat Mobility Show, where Tata Elxsi and Minespider will demonstrate the platform’s capabilities, including its analytics and compliance features.
Tata Elxsi chief product officer Anil Radhakrishnan said: “Our collaboration with Minespider is a commitment to drive innovation in sustainable mobility.

By GlobalData“With MOBIUS+, we aim to set a new benchmark for battery lifecycle management, providing customers with compliance-ready solutions, advanced tools, and data-driven insights to create a more sustainable and transparent future in mobility.”
The collaboration leverages the strengths of both companies. Minespider contributes its blockchain-based battery passport solution, ensuring compliance with global regulations, such as those in the European Union and the US.
Tata Elxsi leads the development and deployment of MOBIUS+, positioning the platform as a scalable and future-proof solution for global markets, with a specific focus on deployment in India.
The platform will offer a vendor interface for data management, promoting accuracy and compliance throughout the supply chain.
A cloud-based system will aggregate data, simplifying access and analysis for OEMs and stakeholders.
The platform’s analytics features will assist companies in monitoring battery performance, refining design, and optimising lifecycle management, adhering to international standards such as the EU Battery Regulation.
MOBIUS+ is also claimed to facilitate integration with third-party systems, allowing data exchange within the ecosystem.
It allows OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers can customise workflows on the platform, using battery data to create vertical analytics use cases that maximise return on investment.
Minespider founder and CEO Nathan Williams said: “Partnering with Tata Elxsi enables us to bring our blockchain expertise to a comprehensive platform that supports the industry’s drive for transparency and compliance.
“By embedding battery passports into MOBIUS+, we’re providing a foundation for secure, reliable data that supports global sustainability goals.”
