Delphi has opened a new manufacturing facility in Izmir, Turkey.
Located in the Aegean Free Zone, Delphi will manufacture diesel fuel systems in the 15,000 square-metre facility. These products include unit and cassette pumps with 1, 2, 3 and 4 cylinders, complete injectors, injection nozzles, fuel pump components and valves.
“We’re very pleased to extend our important diesel activities in Turkey,” said Delphi vice-president Guy Hachey.
“In addition to its own automotive industry, Turkey’s proximity to automotive production centres in Europe and Near East make it a very suitable region of investment.
Delphi will support the local market in Turkey, as well as export products manufactured at Izmir.
