Supermarket giant Asda is looking into the possibility of launching car tyre and
exhaust repair businesses, similar to its US parent company Wal-Mart’s “tyre and
lube” centres in the United States, the Guardian reported.

The paper reported an Asda company spokeswoman saying that tyre and lube is
one thing that the US company does that its UK offshoot does not, and “is something
that we are looking at to decide whether to go into it”.

She added that “there are no plans to launch tyre and lube in the UK at present.”
