British independent van maker LDV was expected to announce a GBP75m capital injection on Friday but had made no announcement by 14:30GMT.
Speculation has surrounded the company all week since it became known on Monday that it had stopped production and sent 700 of its 1,000-strong workforce home.
The Financial Times on Friday morning put a figure on the likely capital infusion but LDV had no comment to make when contacted at ‘press time’ by just-auto.
