TWR, the British based automotive design, engineering and manufacturing group has been sold to Menard Engineering Limited. The sale follows the recent acquisition of TWR’s former racing division based in Oxfordshire.
Since its establishment in 1975, TWR has played a significant and ever-growing role in the automotive industry specialising in accelerated programmes, achieved through the application of leading-edge digital technology. Its primary business is the design, engineering and manufacture of road vehicles.
TWR’s portfolio is impressive having worked for 62 customers worldwide, 42 of them automotive brands. The majority of its work remains confidential, but TWR was instrumental in the creation of the Aston Martin DB7 and Vanquish, and also engineered and manufactured the Jaguar XJ220, Volvo C70 and RenaultSport Clio V6.
TWR will now be named Menard Engineering Limited and continue its global business based from comprehensive UK facilities in Leafield, Oxfordshire and Worthing, Sussex.
