The Timken Company boosted fourth quarter 2014 sales 2% to $762.2m which saw operating income rise to $38.9m from $33.7m or $0.35 per diluted share from a year ago.

Adjusted operating income was $57.9m versus $45.2m.

Full year sales were up “slightly” to $3.1bn and operating income was $144.5m compared with $175.2m in 2013.

Adjusted, this improved to $232.9m from $198.6m in 2013.

The company expects a 1% revenue rise in 2015.
