Deliveries begin in 2026 for four vehicle platforms, including electric vehicles.
The restraint control systems (RCS) trigger the vehicle’s passive safety systems when a crash cannot be avoided. They have scalable sensing and actuation capability with a platform design compatible with future electric vehicle and autonomous vehicles.
Veoneer said its RCS order intake for 2022 has “nearly” returned to record levels from before the automotive industry slowdown tied to the global pandemic.
