The partnership brings together Xing Mobility’s immersion-cooled, cell-to-pack battery architecture with Ideenion’s expertise in complete vehicle design and engineering.

The collaboration is intended to address electrification needs across several segments, including high-performance and commercial vehicles, marine applications and stationary energy storage.

Xing Mobility founder and CEO Royce YC Hong said: “We’re bringing Europe’s automakers a truly immersive, integrated battery architecture – coolant is the bloodstream; the veins become the structure. Immersion isn’t just a cooling method; it’s a philosophy of integration that makes EVs lighter, safer, and faster to industrialise.”

At the centre of the initiative is Xing Mobility’s Immersio cell-to-pack system, which does away with conventional battery modules.

According to the company, this configuration allows for higher energy density, better use of space and greater freedom in packaging than traditional battery layouts.

Xing Mobility presented the technology at IAA Mobility 2025 in the Caterham Project V, using the vehicle to illustrate how a module-less structure can contribute to more compact and manoeuvrable electric platforms.

The design employs immersion cooling, in which the coolant directly surrounds the cells and also contributes to the structural integrity of the pack.

Ideenion, which has been active in the automotive sector for more than three decades, has worked with manufacturers such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Its portfolio covers concept creation, prototype development, testing and validation, as well as limited-series production.

The partners plan to utilise Xing Mobility’s Paradigm Factory in Taoyuan, Taiwan, which the company describes as the first mass-production site dedicated exclusively to immersion-cooled battery systems.

Mirko Konta, CEO of Ideenion Automobil, said: “By integrating Xing’s pioneering immersion-cooled, cell-to-pack systems with our design and engineering capabilities, we will accelerate next-generation electric mobility that meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and sustainability.”
